We design and project manage house extensions, new build or other types of residential projects including garden buildings. We have experience both with traditional and heritage materials in conservation environments and with modern minimalistic design. Sustainable construction is very important now and is always raised. Incorportaing eco technologies such as rainwater harvesting and heat pumps is quite realistic for many clients and we can advise on how best to do this. We are keen to satisfy our clients needs in their residential projects, every project is different. We work with all types of builders, including our own subcontractors for some small projects, to create your Grand Design.

When addressing a residential project, its paramount to understand the client's brief, and also to look at the opportunities the site gives us. In discussion with our client, first we tend to develop a sketch scheme, then drawings for Planning applications and Building Regulations approvals. Cad 2D and 3D is used as well as some freehand methods and model making. We provide assistance in the tender process if required and also do site checks during the works. A full project management service is also available for small projects. We will draw in other construction professionals as required depending on the project such as a structural engineer. We work closely with contractors and suppliers to minimise the issues that could cause problems on site.

We now offer FREE ADVICE at a drop in shop at the office at 16 Fontmell Close, or over the phone, for any architect or build queries eg re planning permssion or cost control. (This is subject to availability so best to call first. These sessions are envisaged to be 10-15 mins only.)
